About

Race Ready Industries is a small company run by Craig Reilly. Craig has been working in motorcycle racing for the past 6 years. During this time he has gained a first class BSci honours degree in motorsports technology, and worked with some great teams and riders. Craig first entered high level motorcycle racing in 2005 when he got involved with Phase One Endurance. Phase One is a team of volunteers who compete in the world endurance championship, and over the past 25 years have won the championship no less than three times, in 1993, 2000, and 2003. It was with this team rather than at university, where Craig gained most of the skills needed to establish a career in motorcycle sport.
Craig has prepared and supported bikes and their riders in the following championships:
- British Superbike (2nd in the 2009 Privateers Cup – Peter Hickman)
- IDM Superbike (2nd in 2008 with Yamaha Deutschland)
- Dutch Superbikes (2009 Championship Win- Gareth Jones)
- World Endurance (2005 – Present with Phase One)
- European Superstock (final 2 rounds of 2007 MGM Yamaha)
- British Superstock (2005 John Crockford)
- Isle of Man TT (10th in 2008 Senior TT with Micheal Dunlop)
- European Womens Cup (2008 Championship win with Nina Prinz)
- European Champions Race 2008 (5th with Jorg Teuchert)
As well as race bike preparation, Craig spent 9 months working with Motrac Racing. Here he learnt about 2 and 4 stroke engine tuning, one part of which focused on the Aprilia Superteens series. After researching the theory of 2 stroke engine design, Craig and Motrac Racing’s Steve Hammond were able to develop the Rotax made engines into a very competitive package. Allowing Connor Behan to finish runner up in both the Aprilia Superteens and ACU Star series.
Over the years Craig has worked with some of Europe’s leading riders, suspension technicians, data analysts, engine management programmers, and engine tuners. All the time learning by doing, questioning, and experimenting, to prove or disprove theories.
Craig’s scientific and empirical approach allows him to focus attention on the things that matter and not be taken in by paddock fashions and rumour. This allows resources to be utilised in the most efficient route towards competitiveness.
Craig now offers his skills to many kinds of motorcyclist, from track day enthusiast to world championship winning team.
